From makeup bags to designer clothes, today’s society has an obsession with any social media trend. Celebrities use these trends to often develop new brands they know their fans will love before it even hits the shelves. While products from celebrities, like Jay-Z’s collection of joggers and snapbacks or Kylie Jenner’s newest makeup products, have increased, the world of beer, wine, and spirits is also becoming more popular each day with celebrities. Here’s a list of six influential celebrities, who have created their own twist on some of our already favorite adult beverages.
Vera Wang Party, Prosecco
Fashion icon Vera Wang, who started her career at Vogue at the age of 23, is now turning her focus to the other side of the party. Crafted from 100% Glera grapes in Northern Italy, Vera Wang Party gives off aromas of apple and stone fruit for a fresh and citrusy finish. With any celebration, this prosecco should be the one to fill up the glasses.
CACTI Agave Spiked Seltzer, Tequila
Launched earlier this year in March, Scott created a 7% alcohol by volume, tequila-based seltzer with brand partner, Anheuser-Busch. Immediately, the blue-agave seltzer broke records, “selling more in its first week than any variety pack in Anheuser-Busch history.” The product comes in three flavors: lime, pineapple, and strawberry. Wanting to try it for yourself? Expect a wait as it sells out quickly online.
Price: Approx. $20 (varies by location)
Kendall Jenner’s tequila brand also sold out quickly—only four hours after the launch. Working on the creation for over four years, Jenner proved ready to launch, having entered anonymously into tasting competitions, winning multiple awards. She has three different varieties in her collection: Reposado, Blanco, and Añejo.
Price for each variety:
Añejo: $70 (only available in stores)
19 Crimes Wine
A line of wines that feature the "convicts turned colonists who built Australia ”- Snoop Dogg joined 19 Crimes Wines in April of 2020 when he launched his own red blend, promoting the brand’s first California red wine. The blend contains 65% Petite Syrah, 30% Zinfandel, and 5% Merlot. It may not be Snoop’s gin and juice, but he’s bringing his modern-day element to the wine selection.
Blue Chair Bay Rum
Inspired by his song, “Old Blue Chair,” country singer Kenny Chesney created his line of premium rums on the shores of the Caribbean. From real, all-natural ingredients to the packaging and the wood corks, Chesney is 100% involved in his company to ensure everything is perfect. The line has ten flavors, including several low-calorie cream rums that will give the laid-back island vibe most people can only dream about.
Maison No. 9
Best known for his hip-hop and rap, Post Malone surprised his fans with his newest creation: a high-quality, light french rosé. Developed with his friend and entrepreneur James Morrissey of Global Brand Equities and long-time music manager Dre London, Malone spent the majority of 2019 tasting over 50 wines until they found the perfect fit. Maison No. 9 is named after Malone’s favorite tarot card: the Nine of Swords, which represents overcoming daily challenges. Malone stated, "Rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy," and sometimes the perfect wine can help do that.
